E-moto AGH is a team of students from AGH University of Science and Technology who built the first electric off-road motorcycle at the University. In addition to showing the advantages of alternative energy sources, they are also testing the newest solutions, like desktop SLS 3D printer Lisa Pro. Most of their construction work takes place at the university’s lab.

Motivation of adjusting the printing parameters

As mentioned in the previous articles, there is a wide variety of polymer powders suitable for the SLS technology. You may ask, how come that the materials have such different properties? Polyamide (PA) is strong and resistant while thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is elastic and rubber-like. To answer those questions you need to zoom in into the molecular structure of the polymers.
